Whether you need to move a single 20ft container from the Port of Long Beach to a warehouse, or coordinate a fleet of 40ft High Cubes for a national distribution rollout, Easy Peasy USA Logistics handles ISO container shipping nationwide.
We work with chassis providers, port operators and over-the-road carriers to coordinate drayage (the short-haul leg from port to inland), long-haul intermodal moves, and door-to-door container delivery. Refrigerated (reefer) containers, flat racks, open tops and standard dry vans are all part of our daily operation.
As a licensed FMCSA freight broker (USDOT 3990628 · MC 1496963), we navigate port congestion, chassis availability, demurrage charges and per diem fees so you don't have to. One quote, all-in pricing, no surprises.
Common questions
What's the difference between 20ft and 40ft container shipping costs?
A 40ft container typically costs 20-40% more than a 20ft, not double — because the truck and driver costs are similar. High Cube containers cost the same as standard 40ft. Reefer containers cost more due to generator fuel and specialized equipment. Get a free quote for your exact configuration.
Do you handle port drayage?
Yes — drayage (the short-haul move from port to nearby inland destination) is a core service. We have carrier networks at all major US ports including Los Angeles/Long Beach, New York/New Jersey, Savannah, Houston, Charleston, Norfolk, Seattle/Tacoma and Oakland.
What's the maximum weight for a 40ft container shipment?
Container weight limits depend on state DOT rules and chassis ratings. Generally, a loaded 40ft can gross 67,200 lbs in most US states. Heavier loads (e.g., 80,000+ lbs gross) require special permits or split loads. We help you optimize the configuration to avoid penalties.
Can you ship a refrigerated (reefer) container?
Yes. We coordinate reefer container transport with operators equipped to power and monitor the unit during transit. Temperature can be set and maintained for frozen, chilled or specialty cargo (pharmaceuticals, produce, seafood, etc.).
Who pays for chassis rental and demurrage?
Chassis fees are typically billed to the shipper. We negotiate chassis pools and include them in our quote when possible. Demurrage (port storage fees) is the responsibility of whoever delays pick-up; we monitor port free days and coordinate to minimize charges.
Can I ship an empty container for repositioning?
Yes. Empty container repositioning is common — we handle it just like loaded freight, often at lower rates since weight isn't a factor.
