Hauling a boat across the country is not the same as hauling a car. Hull dimensions, beam width, height with the trailer, fuel and battery status, and water-tight wrapping all factor into how a boat moves safely from one marina, dealer or driveway to another — sometimes thousands of miles away.

Easy Peasy USA Logistics coordinates watercraft transport nationwide using extended RGN trailers, lowboys, hydraulic boat trailers and standard flatbeds for smaller hulls. For oversize loads (wider than 8'6", taller than 13'6" or longer than 53'), we secure the permits and arrange escort vehicles — pilot cars, route surveys and state-by-state oversize approvals are part of the service.

As a licensed FMCSA freight broker (USDOT 3990628 · MC 1496963), we work with a vetted network of operators who specialize in boat hauling. Every shipment is fully insured. Pick-up at dealerships, marinas, private homes, ports and auctions — delivery anywhere in the continental US.

Three steps from quote to delivery

1. Tell us the boat dimensions

Length, beam width, total height with trailer (if any), weight and where it currently sits — marina, dealer lot, driveway or trailer. We need this to spec the right trailer and assess if permits are required.

2. We coordinate trailer, permits and escorts

Standard hull (under 8'6" wide) ships on a regular trailer. Oversize gets an RGN or hydraulic trailer, plus permits per state and escort vehicles where required. We handle the route survey and timing windows.

3. Pick up, transport, deliver

Loading at the origin (we coordinate with marina or yard staff), transport with progress updates, delivery to the destination dock, marina or driveway. We help arrange unloading if needed.

Common questions

How much does boat transport cost?

Costs depend on length, beam (width), total height including trailer, weight, distance and whether the route requires oversize permits or escorts. A 24ft fishing boat coast-to-coast typically runs $3,000-$5,000; a 50ft yacht with escort vehicles is significantly more. Get a free quote with your exact specs for accurate pricing.

Do I need to drain the fuel or remove the battery?

We recommend filling the fuel tank to no more than 1/4 to reduce weight, disconnecting the battery, removing personal items, and securing or removing antennas, biminis and loose gear. Wrap or cover anything that could be damaged by road grime. Our team will share the prep checklist before pick-up.

Can you pick up from a marina or boatyard?

Yes — marina, boatyard, dealer lot, port, auction or private driveway. We coordinate launch/haul-out timing with the marina if the boat needs to come out of the water before transport.

What counts as an oversize boat load?

In most US states, the standard truck-trailer width limit is 8'6", height 13'6" and length 53'. Anything beyond requires oversize permits per state on the route. Boats wider than 8'6" almost always need permits, and very wide hulls (12'+) typically need escort vehicles. We handle all of that.

How long does boat transport take?

Drivers cover roughly 400-500 miles per day on average for standard loads; oversize moves are slower due to permit time-of-travel restrictions (daylight only, no weekends in some states). A coast-to-coast move is typically 5-10 days. We provide a delivery window when we confirm the booking.

Is my boat insured during transport?

Yes — all transports go through licensed and insured carriers. Cargo insurance covers the boat in transit. For high-value yachts, supplemental coverage can be arranged. We provide the certificate of insurance before pick-up so you know exactly what's covered.
